Most of my shifts were with the festival’s volunteer lounge. I signed in and signed out volunteers; directed them to the volunteer coordinator for shifts and with questions and concerns; distributed name badges and volunteer vouchers; counted audience award ballots; and managed the snack table. At the box office, I distributed festival tickets at will call.

For the 2011 convention, I worked a pre-convention shift the evening before the launch to make name tags for press members. At the actual convention, I assisted with on-site press registration and did data entry. At the 2010 convention, I distributed Warner Bros. gift bags.

At the 2011 convention, I was part of crowd control inside the venue and directed guests to the auditoriums. I also distributed tickets at will call. At the 2010 convention, in addition to doing crowd control, I did volunteer check-in and check-out and checked in and distributed tickets to members of the press.

For one day at the convention, I worked at Creation Entertainment’s merchandise table. I handled financial transactions (Cash box and credit/debit) and restocked products for display and purchase. The other day, I assisted with crowd control and door security for the William Shatner and Patrick Stewart appearances.
